Turq It, Girl!

This bright shade is in for numerous reasons this season. It's a makeup trend for the eyes. Nothing could brighten them up better! Because of the 70's and cowboy inspired fashion this season, turquoise jewelery will also be making a splash everywhere. Lastly, it will find its way onto your favorite frocks. Who wouldn't want to rock this color?!

As the rain & cool temps make way for the warmth of the sun, it is time to shed those winter coats and come into a new spring style. It is the same changing with trends for this year. We say goodbye to the 80's, skinny jeans and things of the like and welcome the 1970's back into our wardrobe. The reemergence of flare legged jeans & boho chic style are upon us.

For day channel your inner Nicole Ritchie. Who else does boho chic better than she can?

And for all you divas that cannot get enough of the nightlife, think 70's hot spot, Studio 54 and style icons of the time, Jerry Hall and Bianca Jagger.

Turban the World on Its Head

Over the past couple of days I've been reminded of how chic a turban adorned head could look.
I was first reminded this weekend, browsing through pictures of my great-grandmother. Even though she was very ill, it seemed as though the turban brightened up her entire look.

Turbans were also featured in today's Zoe Report. Who knows chic accessories better than Rachel Zoe. Really, now!

Too timid to try this always chic accessory? Try a modified headband version!
*I do not claim this image as my own. All chic girls know, it is from the Sex and the City 2 feature film.

Do The Brighten Up!

No, I'm not talking about that gorgeous summer glow that we all covet or a new dance craze. I'm talking about brightening your face with bright colors for spring and summer. Using a beautiful bright shade of shadow on your lids will instantly transform your face. Not to mention you'll be right where you want to be; on trend!

February Femme Fatal

February is said to be the month of love, all thanks to Valentine's Day. Whether you have a date for the 14th or not, this month is your chance to bring out your inner seductress. Big, sexy, hair,a nice smokey eye, a glossy lip, this is what the month is all about. But why stop there? You should also consider applying a set of false lashes.

As for your clothing choice, I think that there is nothing better than a dress. Accentuate your best assets, whether it be your T or your A. And the most important accessory, CONFIDENCE. No one, man or woman, can resist that.

Here at ProvocaDIVA we believe in "pushing the limits of beauty." You may feel good now but there is no reason not to feel like a Divine Diva after a visit from me & my crew.

So here's to you and your inner femme fatal and may you bring her out to play today and always.

Prime Ticket

Before you applying makeup to your face, it is important to moisturize and prime. This not only ensures that your makeup lasts throughout the day but also smooths over any imperfections you may have. It's a must have in any makeup bag!

I have tried a few and one of my favorites comes from NARS. It leaves your face feeling AMAZING! I literally found out today, thanks to the wonderful people at Genlux Magazine, that they just debuted an amped up version of the formula with and without SPF.

(here's the link http://www.genlux.com/News-and-Trends/?editor=186&id=6095)

Try it out and tell me what you think. If you have another favorite primer that you use, let me know! I would love to hear about it.
